Orleton is a small village and civil parish in rural North Herefordshire and lies right on the border with Shropshire. Situated midway between Leominster (Herefordshire) and Ludlow (Salop), the village is most famous for its links to Adam Orleton, the Bishop of Hereford, Worcester and, later, Winchester during the troubled reign of King Edward II, and strong supporter of Roger Mortimer.
